Please join us to cheer on the runner who will pass through San Antonio on Thursday, October 17th, on a path replicating the 4,300km/2,671 mile monarch butterfly migration!
We’ll gather at 10 a.m. at Broadway and Pearl Parkway for the Monarch Ultra. The runner is scheduled to reach that location between 10:30 and 11 a.m.
A team of film-makers, runners, and pollinator advocates will be telling the story of the flight of the Monarch butterfly as seen through the eyes of ultra-runners who will run from southern Ontario to central Mexico this fall.
Runners, singly and in pairs, will complete 50K and 100K sections of the route over 47 days. The Monarch Ultra is an opportunity to connect communities across North America with common goals of Earth stewardship & biodiversity conservation.
Monarch supporting signs and Monarch costumes welcome!
